A Vision for Bethel | Ekklesia

As we embark on our new series, "Ekklesia: God's Design for His Church," we are reminded of the importance of understanding our past to navigate our future. Bethel Baptist Church, with its rich history of 64 years, stands as a testament to God's faithfulness and the enduring mission of the Church. Today, we reflect on our mission, core values, and vision as we seek to align ourselves with God's purpose for us.

Mission: Love God, Love People, Make Disciples

Our mission is simple yet profound: Love God, Love People, Make Disciples of Jesus Christ. This mission is rooted in the greatest commandments given by Jesus in Matthew 22:37-39. Loving God with all our heart, soul, and mind is our foremost calling, and it naturally leads us to love others. As we love God and people, we are compelled to make disciples, fulfilling the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20.

Core Values: Guiding Our Journey

1. Scripture-Rooted Teaching: Our foundation is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. Every sermon, class, and ministry is centered on Scripture, ensuring that we are grounded in truth.

2. Intentional Hospitality: We are called to show love and welcome to all, reflecting the heart of Christ in our interactions.

3. Prayerful Dependence: Recognizing our need for God, we commit to a life of prayer, seeking His guidance and strength in all we do.

Our vision is to be a gospel-saturated church where disciples make disciples, families are strengthened, and communities are transformed by the power of Jesus. Rooted in Scripture and led by the Spirit, we exist to equip Christ-centered followers who live on mission for God's glory.

Discipleship Pathways: Community and Equipping

To fulfill our mission and vision, we are establishing two discipleship pathways: Community and Equipping. Community groups will foster authentic relationships and spiritual growth, while equipping initiatives will provide intentional learning opportunities to deepen our understanding of faith.
